about
I first made this mashup in the fall of 2021. I had just ended a long term relationship and needed some catharsis, and this tune really helped me move through some emotions.
Gotye made one of the most classic breakup songs of all time, and having it on top of Peace Sine's amazing bass tune Tribal Trap really helps me move the energy of sadness and grief through the medicine of dance. Since I debuted it opening for ill.Gates at Nectar Lounge in Seattle in November 2021, I've been playing it out at bass shows, small festivals, renegades and ecstatic dances, watching it help the audience move into and through their grief in a healthy way on the dance floor.
Now the time feels right for me to give this to the world. Thank you for listening and for purchasing the song if you feel called to do so. Stay tuned, I've got a lot more of these on the way!
